Psyche Terry: Mom, Wife, Designer, & Woman-preneur
Psyche Terry is the fashion designer and Chief Inspiration officer behind Inspire Psyche Terry. She's also a mom, fitness enthusiast, influential speaker, and woman-preneur. But before all of that, and before there was Inspire Psyche Terry, there was a dream: a dream that stemmed from Psyche Terry’s love of innovation and inspiring others to live healthier, happier lives.
Her inspiration goes all the way back to when she was a little girl. As a child, Psyche remembers always being curious, always asking, “Why?” and using that curiosity to fuel her creative and entrepreneurially endeavors. Before finding her niche in the intimate apparel world, Psyche tried her hand at a number of different projects. From creating homemade hair concoctions at her kitchen table to selling iron-on patch t-shirts to photography, Psyche learned many lessons in hard work, taking risks, and even failure.
After marrying her college sweetheart, she became a mom, and her body began to change. That’s when she realized just how difficult it was to find lingerie that flattered her new curves and fit her new cup size, while also being affordable and fashionable. She combined her own needs with her dream of inspiring other women, and Inspire Psyche Terry was born: a line that offers regal & romantic lingerie, bras, sleepwear, & bridal in sizes small-4x and DD-DDD.
“I made the line size inclusive because I know what it means to be a size 2 and to be a size 20. I've watched myself gain 90 pounds and I've seen myself lose 60 pounds. No matter what weight I am, I want to wear something regal and romantic, with symmetry that slims my figure.” -Psyche Terry
When Psyche’s not designing her own intimates line and running her company, UI Global Brands, she also enjoys engaging with the community through her program Girls That Rock, where she speaks to high school girls across the country about the importance of attending college and pursuing their dreams. In addition, just a few of Psyche’s honors include an invitation to speak at the White House, appearance on the Steve Harvey Show, and an invitation to meet Oprah Winfrey. Since the January 2017 launch, she and her line, Inspire Psyche Terry, have been featured in Allure, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, HelloGiggles, The Curvy Fashionista, and more!
