How to Rewear Your Lingerie: Part 2

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but your new lingerie set or underwear is still alive and well. Many women admit to buying lingerie for a special occasion and then never wearing it again, which causes negative feelings toward that piece, considering you probably spent a good amount of time and money finding the perfect set. An NY Mag author writes, “the inverse relationship between money paid for lingerie, and the number of minutes you spend wearing it, has always bothered me most.” She goes onto say, “Though I buy fancy panties with the best intentions, after one or two awkward wears, they usually get shunted to the back of the drawer” and, “they pile up, waiting for even the tiniest use.” Most women can probably relate to her struggle or maybe you’ve shied away from buying sexy lingerie in the first place because of its impracticality and lack of versatility. However, we propose that it doesn’t have to be that way. According to The New York Times, “the spring 2016 runways were rife with” lingerie and sleepwear-inspired dresses, camis, and bra tops. They reported that celebrities such as Beyoncé and Jessica Alba are sporting the new trend and that wearing these kinds of pieces outside the bedroom is perfectly acceptable and in fashion!

Something Dressy

Next up we have our Built-In Bra Chemise. We crafted this piece for the working woman, with actual bra cups that have medium-gage underwire and straps that are supportive enough to wear outside the bedroom while still incorporating super-soft fabric that allows it be comfortable and relaxed enough for a night in. In the look below, we paired it with a classic black high-waist pencil skirt and blazer, but since this piece is black, you can play with different colored jackets and bottoms or pair with high-waisted bottoms!

So, who says you can't wear lingerie outside the bedroom? Whip out your Valentine's Day piece and give it a go!
